Hi Everyone
Mail has been working just fine for quite some time. Today suddenly for some mail files, mail stopped showing in the Inbox. It is visible in the “View/All Documents” view.
I ran fixup which didn’t detect any problems and then replaced the design of the mail file from the iNotes6 template. Mail still doesn’t shows up in the Inbox.
Any ideas will be much appreciated.

No they didn’t create another folder of the same name. This same problem happened to 2 mail files at the same time, while dozens of others are fine.
One of the databases is now working fine and all the correct docs are showing in the Inbox.
But the second mail DB is still not working properly. I have replaced the DB design without success. On your suggestion, I also deleted the Inbox folder and copied one from another DB. I rebuilt the indexes. All the mail from the Inbox has now disappeared but they’re all visible in the Views/All documents. So the emails are safe but the Inbox folder is nto working.
I think what I will do is to rename the mail DB in the file system. Create a new mail DB and then copy all the emails across.

You could give this a try. Open the mail file in designer. Delete the $Inbox folder. At the server console run CONVERT mail\mailfile.nsf * mail6.ntf where mailfile.nsf is the actual filename and mail6.ntf is the filename on the template that you are using. We have had loads of these since we upgraded to R6
