Succesfully compiled+linked C++ app on Domino 6.5 on RH 9.0

I was successful in building the C++ api samples on RedHat 9.0 with Domino 6.5 installed (just for the purpose of using APIs). However, it fails every time I try to connect to a remote Domino Server running on Win 2K platform. The error I get is

07/22/2005 11:34:01 AM Error processing certificate created by O=orgname for O=orgname: The public key that is being used does not match the one that was certified.

Error: The public key that is being used does not match the one that was certified. Check the local log file for details.

Domino 6.5 on linux has the same organization name and domino domain name as that of Domino 6.5 server on Win2K platform.

How can I solve the above problem of public keys. This is the last hurdle for me. Please provide me with some possible solutions.

Hi,

The same name is completelly different from same certifier.

You must have same certifier between them. Cross certify with same name is not an option.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

How can I have the same certifier between them? The scenario goes like this. There is an existing Domino installation 6.5 with users on win2K. I need to run my C++ app to access the database of all users of win2k domino server. My C++ app needs to login as admin of win2k domino.

For C++ app to run I have installed domino 6.5 on linux. What is the configuration I need to do between these 2 servers in order to be successful in accessing the database without getting the public key problems.

Hi,

Take a look in the admin help.

The guidelines are:

on the original server, create a new server.

On your new server switch names.nsf to the one from original server, and ID file with the new one.

I’m supposing the new server will get the same name.
