After searching the whole database for this in vain, I am putting this query which I think I will get the answer now.
I am adding a Document in document library using Java code where I am referring notes.jar
I am able to add or update all the fields correctly but I am not getting any option or help on how a document is marked as Submit for review. I did not get that icon which indicates that a document is submitted for review.
If anyone has any idea or sample code which makes a document Submit for review please help.

There is no standard “submit to review” in Notes. It’s within the applications you define what must be done when you click on a button.
So you’ll have to look into the code of your database to find how the workflow is done and then do the same in your java code.

Not sure what you are attempting to accomplish here, but there is no standard Notes Submit for review action. The Document library does contain this action but I have never used the Library.In any case our Workflo!Approval process can be added to any form that you design and has been used by many of our clients for a review process.
