Has anyone used subforms in controlled access sections?
I have some information which is used in several forms so I put into a subform which I then added to each form within controlled access sections, however, these don’t appear to work with subforms - anyone got any suggestions (other than copy the fields to each form, or check that the subform is inside the controlled access section) :oD
I did exactly the same thing yesterday is a little app that I was putting together. The only thing in the controlled access section was a subform. The subform was inserted using a formula. I have found that inserting the subform using a formula is a much more reliable way to insert a subform than embedding it, particularly if the subform is fairly complex. There was a bug in the ND6 code stream that would cause the client to crash if the subform was complex, but inserting it via a formula would work. So I have got into the habit of always inserting subforms with a formula even if the formula is simply the subform name.
I don’t know if this will help, but give it a try.
