Stupid db.FtSearch question

Hi all,

this is a really stupid question about the FTSearch method of the NotesDatabase object. I was reading the help and came across this:

sortoptions%

Integer. Optional. Sorting options. Choose one.

FT_DATE_ASC (64) sorts by document date in ascending order.

FT_DATE_DES (32) sorts by document date in descending order.

FT_DATECREATED_ASC (1543) sorts by document creation date in ascending order.

FT_DATECREATED_DES (1542) sorts by document creation date in descending order.

FT_SCORES (8) sorts by relevance score (default).

Okay i understand what kind of sorts the FT_SCORES and DATECREATED constants are, but what date are the first two sorting off of? What is a “document date?”

Any enlightenment would be appreciated.

I believe, based on one small, very unscientific test, that it’s the last modified date. Although why they couldn’t have just said that, i don’t know.

Brandt,

Creation date (within that replica copy).
