String Replace with LS on Linuxserver

hi!

I’m trying to replace a substring using the ‘replace’ command in LS.

I want to replace a chr(10) or chr(13) with “
” for formatting a string for web.

Starting the script on the local NotesClient every chr(10) is replaced, but when started as a scheduled agent on a LinuxServer, nothing is replaced, the chr(10) and chr(13) stay where they are.

Every hint will be helpfull!

Christian,

Before we figure out if your Replace() statement does not work on a Linux server, the first question I have is: Are you sure the agent running on the server?

Yes.

The print statements that I put in it apear in the log.nsf and everything else it should do is done (sending mails, starting perl-scripts, etc.)

Christian,

Linux may use different characters for marking the end of line, so it may not be a Chr(13) or Chr(10) that you need to replace.
