Strange Problem with author field

Dear All

One of the users is facing a strange problem. Her name is listed in the author’s field but still is not able to access/edit a document. As the reader field doesnt contain her name, she is not able to see the document as well.

To give a background, her name has been changed from Noemie Klien to Noémie Klein i.e, the accent. But the authors field correctly holds her new name and the id file is also the new one.

Also her name is present in a multivalue field called assignedto in the document. The view which shows the documents categorized by assignedto displays two categories for her name. I have checked both the categories. They have the exact spelling but still are displayed under seperate categories.

Can any one think of what might be going on?

Subject: Strange Problem with author field

make sure the name in the authors and readers fields is in canonical form. Any other form e.g. common or abbreviated will not always work. HTH

Dear All,

This problem has been fixed. We had just updated the author’s fields again and updated configuration documents where her name was set again with the name. I swear there was no spelling mistake. It probably needed just a reupdate.
