I am facing one strange problem while using Java classes with for Domino. My Problem is :
When a document(of kind ‘Memo’) from Inbox or any other view/folder is deleted using document.remove(true) method then it got deleted but once if it is opened using database.getElementById(“”), then it again reappears in its original view from where it is removed.
Actually to maintain read/unread status of the mail (on server itself) we are using one custom attribute on the document on server itself. If that particular custom attribute value is set to unread status then only above problem appears otherwise everything goes fine.
Please note that we have added that custom attribute explicitly on each document once if it is processed through our Java code. And the stated particular case arise only when this custom attribute is set to value ‘1’. For your information name of the attribute is “ReadUnread”.
Our code which is moving mails to Trash is as follows:
Document document=database.getDocumentByID(id);
if(document!=null)
System.out.println(document.remove(true));
I don’t know what’s going wrong…??
