Strange mail delivery behaviour

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere. Have searched forums, cannot find examples.

I have an odd problem with a Domino 7 server (it is a new server, all others in domain are 6.5.4)

I have ONE user with a replica of their mailfile on DominoR7/Org server. Same user has the primary replica on DominoR6/Org. Replica was only created on DominoR7/Org as at some point user will be transferred to new R7 server.

Our Org Address Book (on DominoR7/Org and DominoR6/Org) show the user’s home mail server as DominoR6/Org.

However… if a user working on mail server DominoR7/Org sends mail to this user, it is delivering it to the DominoR7/Org replica, NOT the DominoR6/Org replica as stated in person doc.

Very odd behaviour. Have cleared DB CACHE and restarted Domino. Still behaving the same way.

Any ideas???

Also check the alphanumerical listing of the two servers. If they are in the same NNN the server with the highest numberical listing will get the message.

Are Domino7/Org and Domino6/Org in the same Notes Network? Check the Domino Directory, Configuration\Messaging\Networks view.
