When I send an email to one particular user the mail never gets to their inbox. I have watched the domino console and it tells me that the mail has been delivered. The user has no rules that are visible. I have created a view in the users mail file to look for any mailrule documents that might be catching my mails and there are none. I’ve done a compact and an updall too to no avail. Can anyone suggest anything?

a few things to try, send another test, full trace. you should get back a Delivered Successfully message. Next, check the user’s person doc to see what’s the correct server and location the mail file is in and make sure the NSF the user is looking at is the same. Perhaps they are looking at a local replica or a replica on another server.

Full trace says that it was delivered. Her mail file location and home mail server looks correct. She simply can’t see my emails.

Check your local address book to see if you have an entry for the person there.
The local address book takes precedence over the server directory so the mail may be misdirected.

I checked that already and she is not in it.

Do you have message tracking enabled ? If none above work, this can tell you more about the message. This has happened to me in the past. Message track will tell you if the message was deleted and allow you to trace the path of the message.

… I would try a telnet 25 to his domino server(s ?).HELP will give you the available commands,
VRFY (maybe, and if I’m right) could check his internet address.
By the way, you did not tell if you were sending it to a domino server with his internet address, or the X.509 abbreviated one…

Check the All Documents view.
There is a ‘known’ issue where inboxes get ‘corrupt’, and some new emails do not show up there.
If the email shows in ‘All Documents’ (I’m sure it will) replace the design of the database, first with iNotes5.ntf - then again back to your mail template of choice.
Upgrade (as soon as you can) off of Version 6.0- we had no end of client issues with the early 6.0 releases.
