What is the best way to store ID-files? Should they be stored on the server or on a share?

We used to store it on the Server. Basically storing the id files on Server or Share doesn’t make any difference until it is taken care by appropriate person (administrator).

Suggest you take advantage of the Password Recovery feature. You need to configure this option but this will let you store a copy of all ID files in an encrypted NSF and allows you to help a remote user recover their password if he/she has forgotten the password to the Notes ID.
