Starting server as a service on Windows 7

Hello

Does anyone know why I keep getting the message from Windows 7 home premium 64 when I try to launch the Domino Server as a service:

“The Lotus Domino Server service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.”

I can launch the Domino Server via the executable with no problem.

Thank you,

It’s tough to say, we don’t support Windows 7 Home Premium for Domino

What version if any of Windows 7 is supported on Domino 8.51 fp2 ?

Subject: Try taking away “-jc” “-c” from the “ImagePath” of the Domino service

I tried installing Domino 8.5.1 on a Windows 7 Professional machine, and encountered the same issue.

The workaround for me is to use regedit to remove “-jc” “-c” from the “ImagePath” of the Domino service manually (seems like the Domino Java console has failed to load on my machine for some unknown reasons).

I’ve also disabled UAC and enabled the Windows “Interactive Services Detection” service on my machine.

P.S. My colleague successfully installed Domino 8.5.1 on another machine and able to start it as system service without having to take this workaround… don’t know what make the difference….

Check the Domino system requirements:
