There is a problem dragging and dropping ICS files to the calendar on the Notes Standard Client (AKA: Eclipse). This is a known issue from Lotus support.
Here is the following info on the SPR from the Tech I was working with:

This incident has been triaged through SPR BLEE6UQP8E and is currently under investigation to determine the ability to incorporate a fix in a future MR/MU. You will be notified immediately after the issue has been addressed. You may also check the fix list database at notes.net for updates pertaining to this issue.
