Using the 8.02 intergrated client and when ever I try to start a ST Chat with someone away(Yellow ball) or even in a meeting, ST locks up and if I don’t kill the process the entire computer gets locked up. if I have an existing conversation with someone and they go yellow, the ST Chat will still work, it is just new conversations. Any suggestions ? I have tried clearing out the config directory, but that didn’t have an effect. Has anyone else seen this, if not maybe it is time for an uninstall/reinstall.

I’d check another user’s credentials at your machine. In other words, if another user’s log in credentials does not reproduce the issue, it could be specific to you. However, if the problem reproduces for another user on your machine, but not their machine, then it’s your machine. Or, you could ask another user if you can use their machine for a minute and log into ST using your credentials. If it is a machine specific issue, and it’s a Vista machine, try disabling UAC (User Account Control).
