SSO password change synchronization

SSO password change synchronization.

I am testing SSO(client Release 7.0.3) on Windows XP.

I have my Data folder located on Network volume(user’s home directory), single user client Install.

C:\Lotus\notes\notes.exe

P:\lotus\notes\data\notes.ini

P:\lotus\notes\data\vlad.id

Client’s shortcut points: C:\Lotus\notes\notes.exe =P:\lotus\notes\data\notes.ini

When I change my windows domain password it does not change automatically Notes password.

It works when I do not use network drive

C:\Lotus\notes\notes.exe

C:\lotus\notes\data\notes.ini

C:\lotus\notes\vlad.id

Could you explain me why?

Thanks

Vlad

Subject: SSO password change synchronization.

I found the answer:

Problem

With Lotus Notes® Single Logon enabled, you change your password via the operating system (Ctrl+Alt+Del, change password). When you reopen Notes, however, you receive a prompt that the passwords are different. Why didn’t the passwords synchronize?

Cause

This behavior is known to occur when the Notes ID is stored on a network drive, which is an unsupported configured for Notes Single Logon.

Solution

Password synchronization should occur once your Notes ID is moved to a local drive. An enhancement request to allow IDs to be stored on a network drive has been submitted to Quality Engineering as SPR# KTOT6Y2R5B.
