SSO and Active Directory

Hello

I’m trying to configure SSO in my Domino server to authenticate users from Active Directory.

Anybody know how I can verify that the cookie is generated? and what is its path?

thanks

Subject: leveraging Active Directory

From your brief note, it’s not clear to me exactly what you are trying to do. It is possible in all current releases of Domino to configure web users to be authenticated using their Active Directory password. Once authenticated, SSO can be achieved to other servers that are sharing the SSO configuration. Setting up to authenticate against Active Directory requires administrative work (e.g. Directory Assistance to Active Directory, and some directory changes).

In Domino release 8.5.1, we have Windows single sign-on for Web clients, which is an SSO solution for Intranet users. The Intranet user logs into Windows, and thereafter can browse to a Domino URL without being challenged to enter a password. You can read about this feature here:

https://idoc2.swg.usma.ibm.com/domino/topic/com.ibm.help.domino.admin85.doc/H_SETTING_UP_SPNEGO_AUTHENTICATION_FOR_WEB_CLIENTS_STEPS.html

hope this helps,

Subject: I can’t reach that URL

Jane, can you please help.

Subject: Thanks!!

Thank you for your answer, but I can’t open the link.

Subject: link

Try this link:http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/domhelp/v8r0/index.jsp

This is the entry to the Notes/Domino infocenter.

From there,

click on Domino 8.5. Administrator

expand Security

expand Multi-server session based authentication

choose Setting up Windows single sign-on for Web clients

hope this works for you!
