Spelling Autocorrection Question

Hi all

I am new to using lotus notes and i hope someone can help.

Is there a way to autocorrect spelling mistakes in notes 8 mail. For example i always type “dont” instead of “don’t” and notes always spellchecks it as an error (quite rightly). I want to get it to correct my mistake automatically (i presume i would have to give it a list of words and their corrections) if that is possible.

Sorry if this seems like a trivial question, but it has been annoying me for the last few days, and i have searched the web with no success.

Subject: Spell Check

In the Standard client, go to Preferences → Spell check, and enable instant spell checking.

Subject: Not spellchecking, autocorrect

The theme of the original post was autocorrection, not spell checking. For example, if I type in the word “thiss” it flags it as a misspelling and comes up with several options, one of which is “this”. Is there a way of specifying that if I type in the word “thiss”, always change it to “this”, as I can do in MS Word.
