Spell Check is not available for individual words

  • In older Notes clients I could place the cursor inside any word (say in an email), right-click, and select “spell check”. It would spell check just that one word. In R8.5 that’s not available … I put the cursor in a word, right-click, and “Instant Spell Check” is greyed out. I have no clue what that selection actually does because I can’t use it, but it’s the only thing that’s (not) available.- I turned off auto-spell check, because I don’t want red lines and squiggles all over the page because the computer doesn’t understand what I’m typing. That should not also disable manually invoked spell check functionality, if that’s what it’s even doing…

Subject: Hum. It might be indirectly fixed already

HiI am using a newer build and it works just fine for me, so this bug might be indirectly fixed.

I passed it on to a developer as well.

Subject: I’m using Revision 20081211.1925 (Release 8.5)

  • Which could be a little newer. What version should I try, if it’s available, to see if this works?..
