Ok, I have been trialling Notes/Domino Room and Resource management for some time now and have a list of problems that I would like to mention to see if these are missing features, or if they are problems with my setup.
So for those of you who use RnR, I’d appreciate your comments.
Issues:

If a user creates a meeting in their calendar, requesting a room/resource, and the owner of that resource rejects the booking, although the chair of the meeting is notified, their calendar is never updated to reflect this.

If the chair of a meeting changes the time of a meeting, the owner of any required resource is notified. If they then reject the request, again the users calendar is not updated

There is no way for a given group of people, such as Reception, or the people who look after meeting rooms, to change meetings in such a way that if a room or resource which has been reserved becomes unavailable, they need to assign the meeting a different resource. There is no way to do this. They could delete the existing reservation and create a new one, but this again does not get reflected in the users calendar who made the initial reservation.
My take on using a centralised reservation system is that it should be easy to manage by a set of people, ie reception. If they cannot change someones booking to a different room without calling the chair person to ask them to change their own calendar, then it’s a bit of a waste of time…
