As usual doing the archive, the emails will go over to the archive database.
When going into the archive database, the emails are missing. Some folders in archive also not found.
I have checked all of the archive database, none with the emails. They have gone missing.
Need help, what should I do?
Subject: restore, check settings, and test
Hopefully you have a good backup to restore the messages from. If not, setting up your backups is a higher priority than fixing archiving.
Check the client/user/mailfile archive settings and any policy that would apply to the user. Perhaps some types of messages are being excluded or moved to a different archive file.
Test from the client with fake messages. Archiving is using the local machine RAM to copy/paste messages as a batch from one db to another. If you run out of local RAM, the client can lock up and the messages that haven’t been pasted are lost.
