SOLVED : Opening Designer client causes red box : Uncorrectable error

Solution:

  1. Close all clients (Notes, Designer)

2)In lotus\Notes\Data, rename “bookmark.nsf” e.g. “bookmark_old.nsf”

  1. Open client : “bookmark.nsf” is recreate

  2. Delete “bookmark_old.nsf”

This solved the problem below

Hi,

This morning, I’ve uprgraded my clients (Notes et Designer) from R5 to R6 (6.5.2).

Server is in 6.5.2 too.

I have a strange problem :

When I open the Notes client from Windows Programs menu or shortcut >> no problem

When I open Designer client FROM Notes Client >> No problem

When I open the Designer client FROM Windows programs menu or shortcut >> I enter my password, click on “OK” and I’ve got the red box :

"… Uncorrectable error …

LookupHandle: null handle

… Uncorrectable error …

LookupHandle: null handle…"

If I open the notes Notes client and I open the designer client, by Programs menu or shorcut >> no problem.

I don’t understand!!!

Before this, on my PC, I worked a few times with both versions without problem.

Any idea, are welcome.
