We have a database that we just enabled the Soft Delete (and built a Trash view to show deleted documents).
An unfortunate by-product is that we have forms with embedded views, and in the embedded view, you see the gutter where you can check/select documents. Before we enabled the Soft Delete, that gutter area was wide enough to also show the black “X” to indicate that a document has been marked for deletion.
With the Soft Delete turned on, the embedded view gutter became narrower. And now, when you mark a document in the embedded view for delete, you can’t see the black “X” and as a result, users may lose sight of the fact that they have a document marked for deletion.
I’m thinking this is a Notes client issue. This is happening with the 6.5.5 client and the 8.0.1 client.
Has anyone encountered this issue? And can you help explain why this is happening?
