SMTPNotesPort=NICEX

Okay, I have read what I can find here- including links to helpful IBM docs- when I use the SMTPNotesPort=TCPEX and restart the server, I am getting smtp shut down, no driver found for TCPEx - now, I’m running all sorts of things on that port, so it is THERE- and I have checked spelling… (my usual downfall)- ideas?

Is port enabled for mail on the server document (Ports > Internet Ports > Mail?

What happens if you remove the ‘SMTPNotesPort’ parameter from notes.ini? Will SMTP run on the default SMTP port?

Subject: SMTP Shutdown

Yes, the port is enabled- This actually has been working for months, but the company that owns us just came in and put in their switches… :frowning: and it has been more than a challenge. But part of that challenge is that their network does not allow the outbound SMTP- which means that I have to send that traffic out the “external” port, not the internal port that is has been going on. So, when we “owned” the network, our firewall didn’t stop the outgoing traffic, but theirs does. They have opened the firewall for the external nic to send outgoing e-mail- so I need to direct Notes to send it there.
