The platform is AIX 5.0.1.

please guide me as what should be done…

Subject: smtp server:listener failure

Check to see that the TCP/IP connection to the server is good. These messages are typically generated when the port (as defined in server doc/ports tab) is not connected to the network.HTH

thanks alan for the prompt response…

The server was not getting proper dns connection…now dns being fixed…the error messages are gone…
