SMTP routing and Directory assistance

We are using Directory Assistance and additional address books for storing common mail addresses to persons on the internet. This is intended for outbound SMTP mail routing.

The SMTP router searches addresses for incoming mail not only in our local address book, but also those listed in the additional directories. This is not necessary, since we are not relaying mail. Also, this has a side effect on “Local Part” address lookup which can find maching addresses in “external” address books, since the domain suffix is not included in that search.

Is there a way to restrict the use of the additional address books to outbound mail?

I have not been able to found the solution.
