SMTP Relay Host Problem

I enabled the “SMTP used when sending messages outside of the local internet domain”

My ISP asks the authentication to send mail with username and password on the domino server

In the configuration file I have inserted the smtp host relay in the “Relay host for messages leaving the local internet domain:”

but I don’t know whether to insert username and password.

Can someone help me?

Subject: SMTP Relay Host Problem

Domino 8 has the feature to authenticate to your Relay Host (which is what your ISP is asking). However, in earlier releases, this is not possible.

Can your ISP allow only mail from your IP Address to pass through their SMTP server without authentication?
