SMTP Question

I have a SMTP Question:

We recently installed a third party software on it’s own server seperate from Notes called Kronos for time keeping and punch card puroposes. It uses SMTP to route requests in it’s own workflow environment. We pointed it to our Domino server via FQDN (servername.domain.com). Here is the question, we have a group setup in the NAB to that has a list of all users who can receive internet mail, and of course it works great in Notes. But, when Kronos tries to sent a request to a user that isn’t in the allow internet mail group, it gets kicked back to sender with a SMTP error. So Domino is doing it’s job, but I have been asked to allow Kronos to bypass the list some how? It’s inside our firewall and points directly to our DOMINO server for SMTP. So any help getting a server that uses SMTP to be allowed past the Allow Messages intended only for the internet addresses: GROUP NAME field on the config for a DOMINO server would be great.

Thanks

Subject: SMTP Question

The problem you have is not SMTP related per se it’s more about who can get mail right? The Kronos box connects and attempts to deliver mail but your config says userA can receive mail, userB can’t.

What if you delivered all Chronos mail to a certain mailbox and had an agent kick it out to the users?

Use a mail rule to grab every mail from <kronos_host> and plop it in a mailbox called KronoSWorkflowMail.

Have an agent that grabs the mail and forwards it on to it’s intended recipient.

A little ugly but should work.
