We have two Domino server on 6.02.cf2, both server are running fine, except one server is not routing SMTP mail to the other 6.0.2 CF2 server. Lotus Notes base mail, regualr mail is routing fine.
I have update the DA db, have created a new mail.box, stop and restart bothe smtp and the mail router.
try typing “tell router show” at the server console. This should give you an idea of what is causing the routing to hold up. If you’re still stuck, post the results here and maybe we can help!
Are both servers set to route SMTP mail in their server documents?
In the configuration document of both servers (Router/SMTP > Basics tab) do you have “Servers within the local Notes domain are reachable via SMTP over TCPIP” set to Always?
In the same place on the configuration document of both servers is “SMTP allowed within the local internet domain” set to Enabled?
Can you telnet to the SMTP port on the server that isn’t routing SMTP mail?
Those are some preliminary troubleshooting steps that should help you narrow down where the problem is, I hope it helps.
