Hi
We have a problem at the moment with SMTP mail sent to some of our users ins being forwarded to one user, i.e. external email for bob, wendy, craig and nick is all being forwarding to bill.
This is only effecting external mail all internal mail is routed correctly, and it is only the external email for the people listed above which is effected all other users are recieveing external email with no problems.
I have checked for mail forwarding/server mail rules/agents. I have also replaced all the effect mail file designs and the Address book design. I have done a fixup/updall/compact on the whole system with the Domino server not running. I have also create a new test user and this mail is also being forwarded to bill.
If anyone has any ideas it would be great as I am starting to tear my hair out on this one.
Thanks
Nick

Your problem seems to be quite queer and I really don’t have an answer to it. But to narrow down if the issue is with the Address book or the mail template you can do the following.
In the person document of the the test user change the mail file name to something that the actual file name. Then send an external mail to the test ID , if the mail is still forwarded then there is definately an issue with the Address Book, else it could be something to do with the template. If the message is forwarded I would recommend to create a new replica of the address book as there could be some corruption issues

Hi,
Maybe there is an agent running on the mail template?
Try to disable agents on the databases affected!

Hi
Thanks for the responses. I have already tacken the server off line and run a full Fixup/compact and updall on all the databases on the server. I have taken a copy of the address book template off another know working domino system (complete different compacy) and replace my address book design with this. i have disble eveyones ability to use local agents, and there are no agents in the address book, on any of the mail files or on the server itself.
So if anyone else can got any ideas it would be great.
Thanks
Nick

We have found the answer. The user had setup a spam/email filter with IBM. This service needs a list of all email users on the server and if an email is addressed to a person who is not on the list it directs it to the last person on the list.
A bit wierd but there we go!
Thanks to those who posted some ideas.
