SMTP Mail Configuration

Hello,I install Domino 6.5 Mail Server and I don’t know to send and receive mail.

I try to setup the Configurations Documents but don’t work.

Could you, send me please a basic instructions to setup the mail server? (I want to use SMTP to send and receive)

Hi,

I may forget something, but you should :

  • Create a global domain document (Use the help because some fields are not easy to fill, don’t mix internet domain and domino domain)

  • Activate the “SMTP listener task” in the first tab of the server document

  • Add your internet gateway in the “Relay host for messages leaving the local internet domain:” field of the configuration/router/basic document

For this last line, you could create a SMTP foreign document and a connexion document but it’s a little more “tricky”

If it doesn’t work, use the “tell router show queues” command to see what happens
