I was told by Lotus Support to add this to the ini file of my mail server to prevent the stripping out of the last name. It has not helped.
So for example – mail going to stef.abc@abc.com fails because it resolves to stef@abc.com
However this does not happen for everyone.
stef.sullivan@abc.com is not a problem. Just people with the same lsat name as the domain name (of course, it has to be a problem for the boss)
Also now I can’t log into the server via the web. I get invalid username or password errors.
I could really use some guidance…

update the password on your person document so you can log in via the web. There is a field on the document called internet password (last field of the basic section).

Are you having problems with the left dot from the internet address field? what is on the global domain document? I can try to recreate because I have my name is in the domain name. So I could try to recreate if I have some more information.

Lotus explained to me that I need to have 2 carriage returns after the last line in the notes.ini in order for the last line to work. So we’ll try that and see if it works after we do that. Lotus was able to recreate the problem.
All of our users can no longer log into the web where they could before, not just me. I also just found out that we’re getting some ECL errors on some things that we did not get before the reboot. I’m puzzled.
