I am having a problem with the SMTP service of Domino. I just upgraded from version 7.0.2 to version 8.5
First I was having a problem where my outlook would not connect to the SMTP because it would not find anything listening on port 25 so I changed the Inbound SMTP port to 25. It worked like that for a while but then I had to shut down the server and restart it to change the number of mailboxes on the server. After I did that the inbound SMTP had changed again to another port this time 33433. So I chagned it back to port 25 and when I did I got an error stating that the port was in use already so the listener could not use it.
If I telent to port 25 I get a 421 Service not abailable, closing transmission channel
Connection to host lost.
Anyone got any ideas?
