Just wondering whether anyone had come across a similar issue to below:
A billing system sitting on AS/400 sends an SMTP mail with a PDF file attachment of the documents it needs to deliver to customers. It relays through a Domino server to send the message. When successful, the email works as it always has. Customer responses are returned to a Notes mailbox.
However in the past, when a delivery failure was encountered, the non-delivery report would give users the subject line of the of the original email, as well as returning the file attachment.
Since a domain name change (I’m new here), the non-delivery reports are now sending the SMTP response from the recipient’s server, and no mention of the original message contents are being returned. This of course makes it difficult for users to determine which customers haven’t successfully received their emails, as they only have the email address to work from.
Nothing has changed in the AS400 environment, and the MIME and SMTP settings and configurations for the Domino servers involved have not been changed either (so I’m told).
Does anyone have any tricks that might be able to help us to receive a file attachment in the non delivery report?
Many thanks
Daniel
