SMTP conversion problems to other Lotus Internet domain

HI I have this issue where when I send an email to any domain using Lotus Notes, my email address shows up as jacques page/jacquespage instead of jacques@priorit.ca.

This problem does not happen when I send to MS Exchange, yahoo, hotmail etc… It happens only when I send to other people using Lotus Notes…

I checked the Domain doc, I verified the email address both in the user doc and the location doc,

That problem happens from all my clients including the Web client.

I performed nfixup, nupdall and ncompanct

Domino Directory template is 8.0.1

Anyone would have any Idea?

Thanks a million

Jacques

Subject: a wild guess

Sound to me like the problems are on the dominoservers recieving the mail and not on your server. maybe your recipients are using a very old Domino server.

Subject: Not really

Hi Thomas.

Other internet domain tested are version 7.03 and 8.0.1 . Even the ones at IBM do this…

I am seriously running out of Ideas… Thank god it works on regular Internet domains.

Subject: MIME

Have you tested using different MIME configurations in location doc and Server configuration Outbound Message options MIME settings.

There are 3 places to y knowledge that could cause this if the sending mail is sent from a Domino Server.

  1. Location Document (may not be an issue as you got the same problem using webmail.

  2. Person Document in Domino Directory

  3. Configuration Document in Domino Directory

Subject: MIME

Yes,1. In location document check for the Internet address

  1. In Configuration document check for MIME->Advance->Advancd Outbound Message Options

Set value of “RFC822 Pharse handling” to “Use CN as phrase”

Hope this helps
