SMTP Authorisation Problem

Hi

I have not been able to find a post exactly matching what I need, sorry if it is repetitive:

I have the following problem, recently some remote users belonging to HQ want to use M$ Outlook instead of DWA. So we thought we would be nice and try to offer them that service using IMAP and SMTP

IMAP works fine to synch the inboxes, however smtp only works if I allow anaonymous access without controls. So I set up authentication. So far my settings are:

Allow relay from all to all (no restrictions), Check every host for relaying rules and allow authenticated users to relay.

Users add username and password but access denied:

  1. What is the correct user name? I have tried all the names in my entry in the names.nsf

  2. We use an LTPA token for SSO with Portal, could that be the problem?

  3. Even admin doesn’t work.
