Hi there,I’m a bit confused as I am not able to send or receive external mail when accessing mail box using HTTP.
I either receive an error in my console telling me that the domain (ie: yahoo.com when trying to send a mail to bob@yahoo.com) is not answering (and the mail stays as pending), or I receive a delivery error message telling me that the DNS didn’t find the external domain!
Do you know what could be wrong???
This is a personal server I am using for testing. I have a DSL connection and I have a non static IP. For accessing my server I’m using a domain name with a soft updating automaticaly my IP.
When using the client, I’am able to send and receive external mail, but I have created acounts connections in my pers address book. Is there any way of having those connections working for all my users or how do i need to configure my sever so it will automaticaly use SMTP. I’ve set the SMTP stuff in the configuration tab/ messaging/setting option (SMTP used when sending messages outside of the local internet domain: enable.
Where can I specify the use of an external DNS server such as microsoft or IBM DNS servers?
I know there is a lots of questions and that I migh have been a bit confusing. If you need any further details, please send me a mail (sylvain.tournaire@prod.steria.fr). I’m comming back using notes after a long time and new version is not helping the “souvenirs” ![]()
Thanks for ur help,
Sylvain
ps: by the way how many nested folders max are allowed?
