I’m posting this in the Domino 4/5, 6/7 and Domino 8 forums.
Have an issue whereby when I send an email to a user listed in my comapny Domino Directory, and I want it to be sent to their SMTP (internet) email address, the Domino domain is being appened to the end of the address.
For instance, address JSmith@hisdomain.com is actually being sent as JSmith@hisdomain.com@DOMINO_DOMAIN
If the user was a registered Notes user, I suppose this would work. But not all of them are.
Some Person Docs have forwarding addresses, some “Other” email systems. And when @DOMINO_DOMAIN gets appended, it causes routing problems.
Looking at my Domino Directory, I just noticed that in the People view, @DOMINO_DOMAIN is appened to all email address (Notes or SMTP).
How can I disable this unwanted add-on to the recipents address?
