What is the deployment version to allow SmartUpgrade to upgrade to V8.5. I’m testing using a desktop policy for the first time. I’ve tried “Release 8.5” & “8.5” in both the upgrade kit and desktop policy but I keep getting the “There were no matching kits found in the Smart Upgrade database” message. I am currently testing this from an 8.0.2 client

Make sure your Smart Upgrade Kit is configured properly… If you send me a screen shot of the kit and the notes.ini from your 8.0.2 Client you are trying to upgrade I should be able to tell you have the kit configured properly.

When I sent John a screenshot of my SmartUpgrade kit record, he found it right away. I had never upgraded the design of the DB to V8, it was still at a V7 template. We sorta skipped right over the V8.x client. We’re going to go from V7.02 to V8.5 or V8.5.1. As soon as I updated the SmartUpgrade DB design, it works just fine. Thanks!!!

“Release 8.5” is the correct string to use. Likely, there is an error somewhere else in the kit document. Can you upload a screenshot of the kit doc / describe the settings for each section? Also, make sure you are using the right kit! (allclient vs client only)

I have an ODS 51 smartupgrade db and the kit has “Release 7.0.3” as the source and “Release 8.5” as the destination versions. The desktop settings policy doc has “Release 8.5” as the Deploy Version.
The error window lists the policy, desktop settings, and Deploy version correctly. It claims no matching kits are available.
