Smart Upgrade w/ DT Policy does not update template

I have a smart upgrade kit that works just fine however I also have a desktop policy that specifies “If Running This Version Of Notes: Use This Mail Template:” with the following:

Release 7.0 = dwa7.ntf

Release 8.0.1 = mail8.ntf

However the mail template never gets upgraded. I also don’t get an email confirmation upon completion of the upgrade.

How can I get this to work?

I am having the same issue - I cannot get the Desktop policy ‘use this template if this version of Notes is running’ to work either

I found that I had some users who didn’t have the proper policy assigned in their person document.
