I configured the Smart Upgrade database.
How and where can I say that the update has to be launched (date and hour). I applied my desktop policy, but when I restart Notes, nothing happens.
When I trigger it manually, it works fine.

Subject: How did you assign the desktop policy?
Did you use an organisational or explicit policy? Does anything else from the desktop policy get applied to the client? I’d try using an explicit policy to see if you can get it to activate smart upgrade for just one person then go from there. You should not need policies to enable smartupgrade I beleive just set the “Allowed Users and Servers” field in the smartupgrade kit document to blank and everyone gets the upgrade should they match the version criteria.
You might want to check if the Dynamic Client Configuration(DCC) if running on the client, ndyncfg.exe was the exe in R7 not sure about R8.
There are 2 useful (R6/7) papers on smart upgrade which I found useful when setting it up a while back, the first gives info on DCC.
