Smart upgrade to 8.5

Hi

We cant get smartupgrade to work properly.

It worked ok for notes 7 to 8.0.2

But not for 8.0.2 to 8.5

Getting error “there are no updates available for your notes client release 8.0.2”

and error “There were no matching kits found…”

I have checked the logs and cant find whats going wrong.

We are using package C1SP4EN wich is not an update, its a upgrade…

Tried a clean install of 8.0.2 client

change the kit Source configuration: to “standard or basic” And the localization Eng or Swe. Xp client is on swe but notes is on Eng.

Runed the suchache refresh every time after modification

with and with out

Optional arguments for shared network drive kit:

-a /v"/qn+"

Runnigg with or with out a policy, tested the button in the clinet smartupgrade.

The values below are getting changed, so the client is doing a kind of check in the smartupg db.

SU_IN_PROGRESS=0

SU_NEXT_UPDATE=2009-01-15 16:35:03

SU_DELAY_DAYS=0

SUT_NEXT_UPDATE=2009-01-15 16:35:03

Getting this error in the log

ERR_DESK_SU_DEPLOY_KIT_NOT_FOUND

Allowed Users & Servers: “no value”

Is there anyone out there having a tip?


Ok got it to work, used the wrong package after all.

since the xp was on swe the package had to be on swe as well, even if the 8.0.2 client was installed with eng…(C1K31EN)

Is there no package for notes client, admin, and design in swe? since i have tried the eng notes, admin, design package C1SQ5EN with smart upgrade

You can get this error if the SmartUpgrade Kit document “Install Type” is set to “Notes client only” when the original install used an “All Client” install (even if only the “Notes client” was selected during that first install).
