Smart Upgrade kit : document has been deleted

Dear all,

I have created a Smart Upgrade database containing a kit to upgrade Lotus Notes Client 8.0.2 to Lotus Notes Client 8.0.2 FP5. I have used the SURunas.exe facility and created a desktop policy which has been applied to users. The Smart Upgrade has been successful.

Now I need to upgrade Lotus Notes Client 8.0.1 to 8.0.2. I have created a second kit and attached the basic.exe to the kit document. I have not used the SURunas.exe facility. But as soon as I create second kit document, it is getting deleted, with the error message,‘Document has been deleted’. I can’t find out why this is so.

Hello all,

Fortunately I’ve been able to determine the problem. I am posting it for future reference.

The problem was with SMSDOM, symantec for domino. According to the log, the executable file was too big which resulted in a scan error. I changed the setting to skip scanning of smartupgrade.nsf.
