I am finally getting around to upgrading to 7.0.3 I am using Smart Upgrade and am starting first with the users located at my location who use one of two servers. However, we have an additional 7 remote sites each with their own local server.
The Help db says “Lotus Notes Smart Upgrade first checks for the Lotus Notes Smart Upgrade database link in the Configuration Settings document of the home server specified in the Notes client location document. If that Configuration Settings document does not contain a Lotus Notes Smart Upgrade database link, Lotus Notes Smart Upgrade next checks the * - [All Servers] Configuration Settings document for the database link”.
The * - [All Servers] configuration settings document database link is going to point to one of my local servers, which for someone in one of the remote sites, the link would be very slow to download the software. Does anyone know if I need to have a configuration document for each server with a link to the local Smart Upgrade database.
