Smart Upgrade 6.0.3 to 6.5.1

I am attempting to upgrade all our users from v6.0.3 to v6.5.1 using smart upgrade.Have created & deployed upgrade kit using desktop policy, however it seems very slow to take effect. Of just over 200 clients only about 40 have received notification over past 48hrs. These have all succesfully upgraded. Have tried doing it manually on remaining clients using File>Tools>NotesSmartUpgrade but get the message “There is no Upgrade available for your current version 6.0.3”.

Everybody is using exactly the same version as were all set up at same time.

Any suggestions please.

Hi John,

You said some users can get upgrade but some other users can’t get upgrade from Smart Upgrade process. I have question for you.

How did you setup the your user policy and configure the Allowed User filed in Smart Upgrade kit?

It looks like the SU kit configuration might have problem.

  1. The Allowed user field might not let all users to access this SU kit.

  2. The some users might not have user policy to associate with it.

Please check these two problems and try again.

Thanks for your reply.

We have a group set up containing All Users. I added this group to the allowed users field along with Local Domain Servers. I then set up a desktop policy & added this to the All Users setup.

Confused? I am. Have now resorted to doing remaining upgrades manually from disk as I am fed up with trying to sort it out.
