i have an application which is a mail-in database. This database receives faxes all day long. I have 5 users that have to process these faxes. The way it works is simple : The user clicks on a button in the left frame of a frameset. This button will bring the next fax to work-on in the ui interface.
This is the code of the action button :
Set view = db.getview(“FaxNonProcessed”)
View.Refresh
Set doc = view.getfirstDocument
Doc.InProcess = “Y”
Doc.Form = “Fax”
Call Doc.Save(True,True)
Call ws.editDocument(True,doc)
The view selects document that do not have the field ‘InProcess’ to ‘Y’ and is sorted by creation date.
So basically, no 2 users should get the same document with the action button (and this is the only way to work). This application had been working fine on notes 5… but since we migrated to notes 7, we are getting about 10 to 15 replication or save conflicts per day (about 1000 documents processed per day).
Any clues ?
