Recently, we upgraded our clustered mail servers to R802. After the upgrade, users feedback that passthru has become very, very slow. To connect to the server, it takes about 5 minutes; to open a database, it takes 15+ minutes. Sometimes, they will not be able to connect at all. Before the upgrade, it takes 20-30 seconds only.
We checked the network and we didn’t find any problem there. No changes recently. So the only change was the R8 upgrade. However, other passthru servers in our environment has no problem. Connection is normal.
We enabled passthru logging. We see that users are able to connect but it takes a very long time. We also did a trace from Notes Port and we are able to connect.
