We are planning to move our Domino server infrastucture from Dom7 Win32 to Dom8.5.x SUSE Linux. In addition to that we are consolidating the 24-odd servers onto 6 high spec boxes using multiple DPARS at the same time.
Each box will host 2 TRNX sessions (TRNX logging will be archive incorporating TSM). The 2 TRNX logs will be for 2 DPARs (mail servers), 1 each. Each TRNX’s will have a dedicated controller connected to a pair of RAID 1 SAS Disk Drives.
My question - has anyone out there performed a sizing excercise to determine the necc thruput for the controller and the necc size of the disk drives assuming a 24hr checkpoint?
I would be very interested to hear which stats/variables were extracted to help in determining these.
