I have been running SSO w/ 7.0.2 for a couple of days on a fresh XP install and all of the sudden it fails to work. It prompts for the password when opening notes, also when opening user security. When I try to change my notes password it does not prompt for me to change my network password.
The service is running and I have checked the registry for the npnotes entries and they are there. I have completely removed Notes, deleted the directory, rebooted, ran registry cleaners and then manually scanned the registry and removed entires. Rebooted again, then installed 7.0.3. Setup notes w/ SSO and then rebooted as prompted.
Logged in and notes still prompts for a password. The service is running. I have disabled the option rebooted and then re-enabled the SSO.
Also the don’t prompt for password for notes-based doesn’t work.
What could be causing this? I have searched the forums and can not find any solution that works.
I also have some other people with the same issue. All users have full admin rights to their pc and no policy’s are set.
We’re getting exactly the same thing. I have a VP whose single sign on worked fine until she changed her Network PW this morning. Now, although the passwords are the same, she has to sign in to both. I’ve tried everything including a complete reinstallation. The box is checked, but nothing happens and she is not prompted to synch the passwords.
Finally! I spoke with an IBM tech who knew what was causing the problem. They said it was not currently noted anywhere how to resolve it and will be soon.
