Single category embedded view displays wrong data

hello,

i ma running an english domino 6.5.3fp1 server on win2k3 server.

i have an application that uses an embedded single category view in a form.

this view started making problems after updating to 6.5.3 or after applying the fixpack. i do not know.

the problem is that if i take two documents with a very similar category - e.g. test and test_example - i can see in the document test the data in the embedded view for test_example. this is true as long as there is no entry under the category test.

if i create an entry for test, then both documents show exactly what they should.

i think there is a new bug that searches for an exact match and if there is none than for a partial match.

can anyone confirm this behavior?

It’s not a problem of that version.It’s a knowed ‘bug’ or characteristic of that funcions.

A workaround to solve that its to add a character to the view column: field + “$”

and add that character to the value of category to show.
