Simple Search in view selection does not update as expected

I have a view that needs to show documents that were created more than 547 days ago. I used the following Simple Search in my selection formula…

Use ‘MainForm’ form AND date created is older than 547 days.

The problem is the view would never update. It would only show the documents that it showed when the view was last saved. I decided to use a formula instead only when I changed the drop down to Formula this is what it converted the Simple Search to…

SELECT ((Form = “e-PO Email Release Form”) | (Form = “e-PO”)) & (@Created < [09/15/2005])

Notice that the date is hard coded based on the date the agent was saved. This view would never “update” because the reference date never changes. I’m not sure I can see why this would ever be the intended result. Can anyone else reproduce this? Would this be considered a bug or a feature? :wink:

CheckDate := @Adjust(@TextToTime(“Today”);0;0;-547;0;0;0);

SELECT ((Form = “e-PO Email Release Form”) | (Form = “e-PO”)) & (@Created < Checkdate)

Thanks for the response. This is actually what I ended up doing.

I noticed by doing a search that others had seen this problem in the past and no one could figure out why. I’m wondering if this isn’t the answer.
